Starting Your Business Checklist



WOOO HOOO you are a New TuVous Fashion Consultant!!! Your probably thinking, Okay Now what??? Well here is a checklist to get you started!

Step1. 

Announce on Social Media

Before your first package arrives, Announce it to the World on Social Media: Use your facebook, twitter, instagram and pinterest accounts.


This is done for two reasons: To affirm to yourself by saying it out loud that you are truly committed and not just interested in growing your TuVous business. It will also create curiousity among your friends/family/facebook followers who will naturally want to learn more about what you are doing and give you a base to work with.



I highly recommend doing this in video because statistics show that human beings will watch a quick 3 minute video before they read a lengthy status. Andrea's videos get over 500 views when she posts a new one, some even over 1,000 veiws! I call that a clue!!! If you are camera, shy, you can post as well. Video definitely gets better results though as people can see your enthusiasm and positive energy!!!

Once Friends Start commenting: Respond with “I'd love to have you along on this journey, I will private message you”




During the private message, first be a friend. Genuinely catch up and find out how life is going with them before you get around to TuVous. This helps from a reconnection standpoint and also to get a sense of if they would be open to making some extra cash or getting their products for free. If they hate their jobs, thats where you find out, if they are looking to make some extra cash for trips, thats where you find out, if they have some money problems and are maxed out and praying for some relief, thats where you find out as well!!! Ask genuine questions.



Here are two critical questions to ask during that private messaging session:


  • What sparked their interest and made them comment on your post?
  • Are they open to more information on TuVous?

    Step 2. Write your "why" in detail and tell it to your Sponsor, friend, spouse or anyone else that will hold you accountable. Paste it on your dream board and anywhere else will see it all the time. 

    Step 3. Fill out your goals with the Fast Start Program (Me +3). This will help you earn more products in the next 30 days. Below is the picture that explains what you do to achieve this. You need 200 PV and 3 friends to join you and you earn $550 in FREE products AND that amazing TuVous Ogio bag! How amazing is that!!!




    Step 4. You should have gotten an email with your log in information for your back office. Check your spam if you do not see it. Once you have this info log in to your back office and take a look around. This is where you can change your URL and personalize your replicated site. This video helps. 




Step 5. Set your Business Facebook Page up. To learn how click HERE

Step 6. Set a date for your 2 Launch Parties. One on the weekday and one on the weekend. This allows for ALL of your friends and family to at least attend one of the events you do. 


Step 7. Now start messaging EVERYONE on your Facebook friends list and ask them if they would like to host an online 30 TuVous Facebook party for you. Here are 2 options to getting you on your way to filling up your calendar.



IMPORTANT: SEND VERBIAGE FIRST THEN SEND PHOTO – That way FB friends can’t hover over your message and see the content without clicking on it.  Posting the photo after the message makes it so it says “Susan Sent A Photo” and they will be more likely to click on it. This helps create the “Social Pressure” that is present at a home party or event. ;)


      Option 1. “Hey (Persons Name)!!

(Write something personable about the person) Example: OMG! Your kids are SERIOUSLY the CUTEST! I cannot believe how big they are getting! (Say something that will show them that you have been paying attention to them. You might need to take a minute and look on there FB account a little to find something you can start the conversation with.)

(Now lead into asking them about hosting.) So I just HAD to show you this image… do you see the girl and the picture of all the TuVous product??? That was one of our most recent Hostess’s! Can you believe she got that much stuff for hosting a 30 min FB party?? When I saw this, I thought to myself, there is NO WAY that (Enter There Name) would not just DIE to host one of these! They are at 9 P.M when all the kids are in bed and the house it quiet. All you have to do is invite, I will guide you on exactly what to do & I take care of EVERYTHING! I WANT THIS TO BE YOU!! Lol!
I have a couple opening next week on (Whatever Dates You Want To Fill Up) which one would work best for you??”




         Option 2. Here is a blurb you can use. I booked 21 parties in one day using this little blurb! 
                     ----Hey girl! I was wondering if you would be interested in doing a 30 min TuVous fb party for me    in June?? You get free stuff... Would you be interested?---- (This blurb is MAGIC)

Why it's Important to Have a Customer Facebook Group



Ok I want to explain a little more WHY I HAVE A CUSTOMER GROUP smile emoticon I get asked this all the time.... Andrea WHY when you already have a fb page... Ok here is the deal. On my fb page not everyone sees my posts that I make. Because of the way fb keeps changing things I wanted to have a better way to connect with my customers and who follow me. I do this group instead of sending out emails and a newsletters. NOW, this is what works best for me... you can do it anyway you want smile emoticon
Tips! 
*You still need a business fb page!!!!! 
* DO NOT just add people into your group!!!!!! THIS IS A MUST!!!!!!!!!! It is so rude to just add someone into a group! you MUST ASK first smile emoticon
*During your Facebook parties instead of sending them to "like" your fb page have them "join" your group.
* Do giveaways and make your group FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep them paying attention to your group!
*Add EVERY hostess into your group. If she adds peeps give her a gift! C'mon share the love wink emoticon
* Yes I use your photos that you share! They don't ALWAYS want to see just my amazing face haha. 
*Post daily!!!!!! Not 3x though lol. Just once is enough wink emoticon
* Ask EVERY Single customer to post a picture of them wearing their items they got from you in the group!!! Show the tuvous love!!!

Display Ideas

When it comes to displaying your TuVous items this is the fun part! You get to be creative and display how ever you would like. These are just a few ideas to get you started. We recommend not breaking the bank BUT make sure that your display looks appealing to the eye. This way you will sell more products at your home parties and events.



We got our neck displays at Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off. We then wrapped them ourselves in burlap. This makes them super cheap but shabby chic.
The table cloths are a twin sheet from WalMart. We paid $5 for each.



We love using our turning display rack for earrings and bracelets

We purchased a few mannequins online to sit on our table to showcase ties and scarves

Remember to have signs and pictures in affordable frames 
Another great thing to remember is to create height when displaying your items on the table. This draws the eye up and down.

Incentive's & Giveaway Ideas at Home Parties

·      Incentives at home parties are a great way to book more parties and to even team build. I recommend always adding incentives to your parties. 

1. Drawing for a TuVous Item!  As you are writing up the receipt have the customer fill out the drawing form.  It’s a great way to find out if they are interested in becoming a consultant or hosting a party.  Women love FREE things and you can do this with minimal cost!



Here are the drawing slips below that you can print out and use.




·      2. Hostess Incentives- At my home parties I still use the TuVous Hostess Rewards... BUT I also give them a $10 credit to choose anything they want. This is just a Thank you for hosting type thing. I let them choose it out at the beginning of the party so they can wear it and show it off. 




·        3. Bring a friend, get a prize. I will give a half off item to those that bring a friend to the party. I will have on the invite "Bring a Friend, Get a Prize!" Get creative with this idea!

4. When I talk to someone at a party about becoming a consultant, I will give them $30 in free items of their choice if they sign up within 24 hours. This is a GREAT way to build your team. 

Hostess Coaching for Home Parties

Successful Parties begin with effective host coaching! There is only so much you can do at the actual party – the rest is up to your host & she is depending on your to coach her to success!

In my experience in direct sales, I have been able to increase my party sales and bookings by encouraging my hosts to do several important tasks.
* Have 40+ names on the invitation list / invite 40+ people
* Call or hand invite as many guests as they can
* Collect $300+ in outside orders before the party
* Call and remind all the guests the day before and remind them that if they bring a friend (buying guest) and/or an outside order they will get a free gift from me or encourage them to place an outside order if they can’t attend
* Have 10-15 adult guests in attendance
* Have at least 2 TuVous parties already booked before the party begins
* Talk to me about our TuVous Opportunity
I also take the time to explain our current TuVous promotions and host offers too. I will give my hosts some key points on our big special's and main product lines. Remember out of that 40+ people the host invites, you will probably only get  8-10 of them, so it’s helpful for your host to know product features & benefits for those who are not attending.
Now with everyone being on Social Media, I also set up my hosts a TuVous Facebook event for their party.  I am able to post product tips, ideas, video’s and play games for prizes. This allows me to connect with the guests before the party. It also allows me to share specials and product tips, host benefits and our business opportunities with those who may not be able to attend in person.  It has significantly increased outside orders for my parties as well as bookings and new recruits.
